About Sleep Dream Grow

Meet Dr Hiew Pei Hwa
Paediatrician
Behavioural Sleep Consultant
Mum of Two
I know what it feels like to be exhausted by your child's sleep — because I've been there too.
Before I became a sleep consultant, I was a tired mum waking every few hours through the night, feeding, rocking and trying to get my babies back to sleep. I remember wondering when things would get easier.
With my first child, I expected the frequent waking to improve as he grew older. But even as a toddler, he was still waking several times a night.
Then came my second child — and, unfortunately, the sleep deprivation came with her too.
At the time, I simply accepted that being exhausted was one of the sacrifices I had to make as a mother. I didn't know there were behavioural approaches to sleep that could have given us other options.
Looking back, I wish I'd known earlier.
Years later, after becoming a paediatrician and spending more than 14 years working with children and families, I continued to meet parents who were struggling with the same exhaustion I had experienced.
That was what motivated me to pursue formal training and become an IPSP-certified behavioural sleep consultant.
Today, through Sleep Dream Grow, I combine my professional experience, behavioural sleep training and personal experience as a mother to support families who are struggling with their child's sleep.
My hope is to give parents what I wish I had during those difficult years:
more understanding,
more options,
and the reassurance that you don't have to figure everything out alone.

A Clear Distinction
Sleep Dream Grow provides behavioural sleep consulting
Although I am a paediatrician, my role within Sleep Dream Grow is as a behavioural sleep consultant.
Sleep consultations are separate from my medical practice and do not constitute paediatric consultation, medical diagnosis or treatment.
If your child's sleep difficulties may require medical assessment, I will recommend that you seek appropriate medical care.
Your Story Doesn't Have to Be Mine
I used to believe that exhaustion was simply part of motherhood.
Today, I know that parents can have options.
If you're struggling with your child's sleep, you don't have to wait until you're completely exhausted before asking for help.
Let's talk about what's happening, what you'd like to change, and whether behavioural sleep consulting is the right fit for your family.
